Musculoskeletal Virtual KSA
This live online activity will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, 8:00am - 12:00pm PT.
Join via zoom to complete this 60-question Knowledge Self-Assessment (KSA), facilitated by Mary Hanna, MD, FAAFP. The Musculoskeletal Knowledge Self-Assessment (KSA) focuses on: management and treatment of common conditions of the spine, upper and lower extremities to maximize restoration of function, and clinical features of musculoskeletal traumatic overuse injuries.
After completion, learners will earn 10 ABFM certification points and 8 AAFP Prescribed credits. For more information about ABFM Maintenance of Certification, please visit theabfm.org.
Learning Objectives:
After successful completion of the Musculoskeletal KSA, the physician will have been exposed to up to date content as it relates to Musculoskeletal and have an opportunity to close knowledge gaps that existed prior to participation in the Musculoskeletal KSA activity. Learning objectives for the Musculoskeletal KSA are as follows:
- After completing the Musculoskeletal KSA, the physician will be able to close knowledge gaps and have a better understating of treatment for musculoskeletal conditions of the spine, and upper and lower extremities to maximize restoration of function.
- After completing the Musculoskeletal KSA, the physician will be able to close knowledge gaps, and be able to identify common presentations and clinical features of musculoskeletal traumatic overuse injuries seen in clinical practice.
- After completing the Musculoskeletal KSA, the physician will be able to close knowledge gaps, and be able to identify critical aspects of musculoskeletal care that include proper imaging modalities, infections, child abuse, and malignancy.
Target Audience:
This activity is designed for family medicine physicians.
Participation and Credit:
Learners must register to participate in and receive credit for this live online educational activity. Read the target audience, learning objectives, and author disclosures. Live attendance and active participation between 8:00 am and 12:00pm on Saturday, September 26, 2026 is required, with web camera turned on throughout and a functional microphone. Each code word revealed during the activity must be correctly marked in the Code Words Quiz, and the Evaluation must be completed.
After completion, you will earn:
- 10 certification points from ABFM and
- 8.0 AAFP Prescribed credits (for MOC credit recipients) or
- 4.0 AAFP Prescribed credits (if not receiving MOC credit)
A certificate will be available to you as a downloadable link. You may print the certificate, but you cannot alter it. For information on applicability and acceptance of continuing education credit for this activity, please consult your professional licensing board.
