Per the CDC, 1-in-10 patients have diabetes and 1-in-3 patients have prediabetes. With increasing demands on the primary care physician, an easy, practical, and compassionate approach to DM management is essential. This session will review the ADA’s Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes, focusing on antihyperglycemic agents. These antihyperglycemic agent principles will then be applied to various patient scenarios.
