Forwarde-Cigarettes and Vaping: Clearing the Smoke
The health care community, policy-makers, teachers, parents, and our patients are overwhelmed by the rapid surge to popularity of e-cigarettes. What initially was seen as a “cure” for smoking cigarettes is now leading millions of teens to nicotine addiction as well as posing lethal health risks from vaping-related illnesses. This presentation reviews the different perspectives; of adults who vape in order to quit smoking and of the teens who’ve become addicted to nicotine from vaping.
As family physicians we will see the spectrum of vaping, so it's important to understand the different products on the market as well as the pros, cons, and safety issues related to possible harms and benefits of vaping.
